In the heart of Montreal, there exists a vibrant and tight-knit community of Hellenes who have left their indelible mark on the city in the fields of arts, athletics, and philanthropy. These remarkable individuals have dedicated themselves to benefitting the future creation of the New Hellenic Cultural Center in Laval. The embodiment of their efforts came to life in 2023 when Athlos, a group of dedicated volunteers, in collaboration with The Hellenic Community of Greater Montreal, decided to honor the achievements of these outstanding individuals by hosting the first-ever President's Ball at Chateau Royal in Laval. The event was nothing short of a resounding success, drawing in more than 400 people from the community for a night of grandeur, entertainment, and jubilation.
The Athlos President's Ball was a testament to the spirit of unity and celebration. It was made possible by the tireless efforts of Stella Tsarnas, the senior director of Athlos, and the event's extraordinary planner, Maddy K. But the real highlight of the evening was the recognition of 12 award winners, individuals who had made monumental contributions to the community in various ways. Distinguished members of the community, including business leaders, politicians, and athletes, had the honor of presenting these awards to the deserving recipients.
