Creating video content for Drew Barrymore’s Beautiful™ Kitchenware Collection

Made By Gather, one of America’s fastest-growing kitchenware brands including Bella, Crux and Beautiful™, partnered with Marrone Films to create captivating video campaigns showcasing their products. When Gustavo Chavez, Art Director at Made By Gather, approached Marrone Films for this collaboration, the team was eager to get started.

Tanya Rembacz, producer at Marrone Films, shares, “Working with the Made By Gather team is an exciting opportunity. In particular, creating videos for the Beautiful™ by Drew collection, each product not only brings joy and beauty to everyday cooking experiences, but they also bring that same energy to our set.” Tanya continued, “We’re lucky to have Gustavo as our team leader, he was our liaison to the Made By Gather marketing team and together with Riccardo oversaw each project from concept to completion”.

Riccardo Marrone, Creative Director at Marrone Films, worked closely with Gustavo to develop storyboards featuring each product. Employing engaging concepts and innovative video techniques like stop motion and probe lenses, they brought a fresh and dynamic perspective to each campaign. Every shot was creatively planned and storyboarded to achieve efficient and effective results.

“Storyboards are an invaluable tool creatively, and from a time management perspective”, says Riccardo. “They allow us to stay on schedule, prioritize creative ideas,  and ensure we capture the functional shots we need.” He continued, “behind the scenes, Tanya played a pivotal role in ensuring each shoot followed the storyboard and ran smoothly, adhering to brand guidelines.”

The Beautiful™ products bring people together at every stage of the product life cycle, from the design lab to the end consumer. Riccardo expressed, “Working with Gustavo and the Made By Gather team, we've seamlessly become part of their creative family, embracing their mission to 'cultivate human connection in the kitchen'. Riccardo continued, "For the Beautiful™ line, we customize our filming and editing style based on the Made By Gather marketing guidelines. On set we give special attention to directing the hand models to ensure the proper use of the products, demonstrating ease of use while focusing on the design elements."

For an efficient workflow from the set to the studio kitchen, Tanya collaborated with food stylist Guillermo Reyes to ensure that every featured food item, ingredient and plating accessory aligned with the storyboard’s aesthetic.
