Capturing the magic of Montreal’s unforgettable costume gala

Each fall, Montreal comes alive with one of the city’s most glamorous and meaningful Halloween events — Costumes for CURE. Hosted by the CURE Foundation, the event raises vital funds to support women across Canada facing breast cancer.

On November 1, 2025, Costumes for CURE transformed Marché Bonsecours into a glittering Las Vegas for the event’s Welcome to Sin City theme. Guests went all out, arriving in dazzling costumes and bringing the spirit of Las Vegas to Old Montreal. The night featured casino spaces, gourmet food stations, and live entertainment, all in support of the CURE Foundation’s Financial Assistance Program.

This year’s Costumes for CURE was led by event co-founders Fojan Ansari Guerrera and Cristina Ventura-Harden, along with their incredible team: Ari Crudo (Vice-Chair of Fundraising), committee members Katherine Garbarino, Stefano Iacampo, Alessia Parasuco, Lindsay Saks, Tania Tassone, Ilana Teltschser, and fundraising associates Lauren Brownstein and Nadia Niro. Their creativity and dedication brought the spirit of Vegas to life — for a cause that truly matters.

Event planner Tania Tassone, president of TassONE events — whose detailed planning ensures every moment of Costumes for CURE is unforgettable — shared her experience working with Marrone Films:

“Working with Rick and the Marrone team is a no-brainer. They are professional, reliable, and always make sure to capture every aspect of my events thoroughly. I also appreciate that even though they are a big team, they are not invasive and you barely realize they are there. The results are incredible and each video they produce is unique to the event and so captivating to watch. I am very grateful to be able to work with such talented videographers who always make my events shine!”

Riccardo Marrone, producer at Marrone Films, recalls: “This was our second year filming Costumes for CURE, and everything came together perfectly. The guests embraced the evening, stepping into character and bringing the theme to life — it felt like everyone was a star in their own movie. That kind of energy pushes our creativity even further. We added layered sound design and hyperlapse sequences to reflect the night’s vibrant energy.”

Last year’s event, Fright Night 2024, took place at MELS Cité du Cinéma, where Montreal’s iconic film studio was transformed into a “scary chic” celebration. With more than $630,000 raised, the event stood out for its cinematic setting and guests who fully embraced the spooky glamour of the theme.

From the haunting allure of Fright Night to the dazzling lights of Sin City, Costumes for CURE continues to redefine what it means to celebrate for a cause.

It’s a reminder that behind the costumes and the lights is a meaningful purpose. One in eight women will face breast cancer in their lifetime, and events like Costumes for CURE not only raise essential funds — they bring people together in support of those who need it most.
